The Obama administration said Monday it was investigating the mobile app space for children concerning privacy breaches of federal law that include the unauthorized collection and sharing of personal information. The Federal Trade Commission made the announcement the same day it published a report concluding that apps failed to inform parents about what data is collected about their children and how it is being shared and to whom.
